SANCA is the leading national organisation that provides both prevention AND treatment services of alcohol and other drug dependence throughout South Africa.

Nishtara is affiliated to SANCA and is a non-profit organisation situated in Lenasia, south of Jhb. Established since 1990 and operating under the guidance of a well-represented Board of Management, Nishtara provides services that include individual, family and group therapy together with various community awareness programmes.

Nishtara strives towards a holistic approach aimed at the rehabilitation of chemically dependent individuals and also the upliftment of communities. Our programme embraces information, counselling, medical treatment, detox programmes, supportive counselling for family members, group work therapy, behaviour modification, lifestyle and mindset change as well as an excellent aftercare support programme.

(SANCA) is a non-governmental organisation whose major objectives are the prevention and treatment of Alcohol and Drug Dependence. The first of these objectives is mainly achieved through the provision of treatment services for chemically dependent people and their families.
